Located in the heart of New York’s West Village, Mint Kitchen has arrived as a health-centric interpretation of modern Israeli cuisine.  CRÈME executed the design of the new eatery, which orients its 50 seats around a central open kitchen. Surrounded by tiered seating, a copper-coated Taboon Oven acts as a key focal point of the theatrical open kitchen, detailed with emerald-tiled backsplash and quartz countertops.

Operable aluminum glass doors can roll up to connect the restaurant with the neighborhood during warmer months. Mint Kitchen’s orange neon logo also welcomes visitors upon arrival, a contrast to a cool gray and green interior palette. Decorative string lights, rope pendants, and recessed downlights accent the refreshing and inviting dining room, which is lined with concrete tiles and gray stained wood along the floors. Plaster painted walls, oak millwork, blackened metal shelving, and locally sourced ribbed glass complement a leather banquette and a live plant wall, which is punctuated with hanging woven cane and wood boxes.
