Situated outside the bustling city centers of Boulder and Denver in Westminster, CO, Crème’s design for Kachina Southwestern Grill brings western Pueblo spirit to life by combining natural indigenous elements with bright colors and modern design throughout the restaurant’s spaces. The entrance is accessed through the patio, which features an outdoor bar, adobe oven, gas fireplace and lounge furniture accented with vibrant textiles reminiscent of Native American blankets and weavings. By day, the patio’s trellis tames the heat and by night, draped string lights create an intimate, casual atmosphere for alfresco dining. Inside, the space’s warm, neutral foundation features organic textures mixed with splashes of color – from bright yellows and fiery reds to cool blues – that pop throughout. Crème’s selection of brightly colored fabrics, Western inspired objects and Native American artifacts connect guests with the vibrant Southwestern culture and a contemporary, double-sided sand art glass wall separates the private space where a gas-lit fireplace creates an intimate setting for group gatherings.
