Over the summer, Crème teamed up with St. Nicks Alliance’s as a part of the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development’s Summer Youth and Workplace Challenge. This program’s mission is to expose participants to various industries to foster their career paths. We worked with a group of bright, young students ages 16-21, to design outdoor dining spaces for the restaurants of their choice during Covid-19. In addition to helping them to develop their workplace skills, this program also provides young people the opportunity to develop, practice, and demonstrate key workplace skills such as problem-solving, research, teamwork, and presentation skills. This was a very rewarding experience for our team and we hope to continue to promote diversity in design and support our community.
