Founded by Jun Aizaki, CRÈME is a collaboration of dynamic, international designers and creative professionals. Based on the idea that all design challenges require the same problem solving approach, we approach a chair, a restaurant, a building, the same way we would approach a logo or a block.
Collaboration is a key to our process. We nurture a culture of design democracy and draw inspiration from our clientele, our design team’s diverse backgrounds and from our extended family of artists and fabricators. We believe in having a hands on approach to problem solving and that fresh ideas are born when moving the hand.
We take a holistic approach to design where every element speaks to each other creating a strong sense of a whole. We are storytellers and experience builders in a sense that our exploration does not begin nor does it end at the completion of a building, space or an object, but rather when a person interacts with the space and the experience enters someone’s lifestyle.
CRÈME was awarded a Wave of the Future Award in 2009 by Hospitality Design magazine and has been featured in the New York Times, The New Yorker, Kinfolk, New York Magazine, Architectural Digest, Interior Design, Hospitality Design, Metropolis, Food and Wine, Architect’s Newspaper, Elle Décor and Esquire, among others.

Jun Aizaki is the owner and principal of CRÈME / Jun Aizaki Architecture, an acclaimed creative design agency based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He is a registered architect in the state of NY. Aizaki moved from Japan to NYC in the early 90s and graduated from Pratt Institute School of Architecture in 1996. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn. He was formerly a designer at Rockwell Group (1998-2003) where his work on Alma de Cuba in Philadelphia won an IHMRS Gold Key Award for Best Restaurant in 2001. He earned an I.D. Magazine Honorable Mention and a James Beard Foundation Nomination for Best Restaurant Design for Pod in Philadelphia and was nominated for a Gold Key Award for Best Restaurant in 2000 for Ruby Foo’s New York. Aizaki’s Foam Chair furniture design was selected for the 2006 Future Perfect’s Altoids Design Awards and was featured in New York Magazine. In the fall of 2009 Aizaki was awarded a Wave of the Future Award by Hospitality Design Magazine. In 2013, Crème-designed restaurant American Cut was nominated for the HD awards, best restaurant category. Jun Aizaki was awarded the international category Alumni Achievement award from Pratt Institute in 2015. In 2016, L’Amico Restaurant received the Prix Versailles restaurant category award and the Exchange chair designed by Crème was a finalist in the HD awards products category.
